DC believes the 205lbs division champion, Blachowicz, is often overlooked by the MMA community and doesn’t get the deserved respect. But, he has shown previous middleweight world champions like Luke Rockhold and Jacare Souza that light-heavyweight is a whole different game. So, ‘Stylebender’ had better be careful.

It’s a tough fight. You know, it’s, crazy because Jan Blachowicz has not gotten the respect that he deserves. This guy has beaten everyone that have tried to come up against him in the in his recent run and you know Jan Blachowicz is going to be at a bit of a disadvantage in terms of speed with Israel Adesanya.

“Star power, Israel Adesanya, there are a lot of things swing in his favor. And if he can win this fight, he will skyrocket to the moon,” said Cormier in a recent interview with Helen Yee.

Cormier also added that Adesanya has the potential to be the biggest superstar of the UFC. He has got all the charisma and of course; he is a phenomenal fighter who backs up his antics. His undefeated record is a testament to that fact.

Can Israel Adesanya create history at UFC 259?

Adesanya came up much lighter in weight than Blachowicz at the weigh-ins. However, Cormier believes Blachowicz is a different beast than anybody Izzy has ever fought. He possesses superlative power in everything he does inside the Octagon. So, ‘The Last Stylebender’ can’t afford to get hit once by Blachowicz as it could change the course of the fight.

However, one should not forget Adesanya is special in his own merit. He will look to prove to the world that size is not everything in martial arts. But, Blachowicz is more than just a physical specimen. He is a complete mixed martial artist who possesses superlative skill sets. Regardless of the outcome, fans will be in for a mouth-watering contest.
