Jan Blachowicz will defend his light-heavyweight title against middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, who is looking to be a part of the prestigious simultaneous UFC double champion group. Given the magnitude of the event, one of the former simultaneous champions, Henry Cejudo, will have his eye on the event.

‘Triple-C’ knows firsthand about the recipe of holding two belts at once and saw something that could see Adesanya reign supreme. ‘The Messenger’ believes Adesanya will be triumphant, but that is only because nobody fights him with proper tactics.

Speaking to Helen Yee, Cejudo said, “I think he’s gonna knockout The Polish nightmare. I really do. I think he’s gonna knock him out. Just because nobody fights Israel with tactics. Israel hasn’t necessarily, and again, I like him. He’s a world champion, but he’s not he’s not well rounded yet, or at least he hasn’t showed that yet.”

He compared ‘The Last Stylebender’ with former featherweight champion, Jose Aldo, who he believed did not have a backup plan when faced with a better striker.

For Israel. I was like, man, let me see you’re wrestling, let me see your jiu-jitsu like you know what I’m saying? Like make me make me feel like you’re you are going to be pound for pound. But I don’t I don’t see that yet,” he added.

Can Israel Adesanya show a different side of his game at UFC 259?

There’s a high chance Blachowicz will look to test Adesanya’s untested MMA grappling skills as it remains to be seen if ‘Izzy’ can keep up with a stronger guy on the canvas.

But, as ‘Stylebender‘ is a true martial artist through and through, it will be foolish to underestimate him. He is a generational talent and has been battle-tested with almost 100 fights as a professional in combat sports. Regardless of the outcome, fans are in for a treat as two warriors will clash at UFC 259.
