UFC lightweight Khama Worthy spoke out via Fightful ahead of UFC 260 and went off on fellow 155-pounder Michael Chandler. ‘The Deathstar’ wasn’t too pleased that Chandler was now primed to become UFC champion if he beats Charles Oliveira. The aforementioned fight was announced in the wake of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s official relinquishment of the undisputed lightweight belt.

Khama Worthy is 2-1 in the UFC with both his wins coming by way of stoppage. He believes that Michael Chandler doesn’t deserve a call-up straight to the title after just one fight in the organization. Chandler is coming off a statement KO victory over Dan Hooker, who was ranked number five at the time.

Additionally, the win came at the big stage of UFC 257, a Conor McGregor headlined fight card.

“Let’s be realistic. I’m 34. It takes five years to get to a world title at 155 [pounds],” Worthy told Fightful. “Unless you’re Michael Chandler and you just come in and fight once and you get a f*cking world championship [shot]. I like Michael Chandler, don’t get me wrong, but I think I’d knock Michael Chandler’s f*cking head off.”

Worthy trolls Chandler for getting KO’ed by Patricio ‘Pitbull’

Worthy acknowledged that ‘Iron’ Chandler was indeed a competent fighter with well-rounded skills. However, Chandler’s KO loss to Bellator featherweight champion Patricio ‘Pitbull’ just didn’t sit well with Worthy.

“I’m just gonna put that out there. He is a good fighter, has phenomenal wrestling, sick kickboxing, but I don’t think he’s that good. He did just get knocked out by a 4-foot-4 145-pound guy. I didn’t forget about that. f*cking ‘Pitbull’ [Patricio Freire] is the size of my kid and he knocked him the f*ck out. But, it’s whatever.”
