The champion from Kyrgyzstan told Lynch that she expected her own training and work ethic to shine in the fight. Moreover, she dismissed the notion that special attention would have to be given to Jessica Andrade. For Shevchenko, the same attention she gives all her opponents would be applied to her UFC 261 bout.

“I think it’s same as other girls. It’s like an opponent who has a style of fighting, you know, specific things. There is no difference. I’m going to be preparing myself the same way, the same hard work and like doing everything that I have to do to get the victory. Of course, look into like specific details of her, what she can bring, Nothing like super special but you have to be everytime with attention to everything.”

‘The Bullet’: ‘I’m ready for anything

Additionally, ‘The Bullet’ laughed off the fact that Andrade believes her wrestling is superior. Valentina Shevchenko doesn’t believe that Jessica’s strength advantage will play a role in the contest in any capacity.

“I expect from Jessica like a lot of wrestling, this is what I hear that she is thinking that she is better in wrestling but you know, I like what she thinks about the things that she’s stronger, it’s showing that she’s not so smart because she is not the stronger person, stronger than me in the wrestling.

There’s no doubt that the aforementioned title fight is one of the most anticipated in recent memory. Jessica ‘Bate Estaca’ has proven that she’s worthy of pulling off the upset with her grit and grime attitude. The fight will be a great test as to where Valentina Shevchenko is in terms of all other flyweight contenders.
