Stephen Thompson has been at the precipice of a title in the past and isn’t a stranger to the big stage. Not too long ago, he was involved in a two-fight series against Tyron Woodley in an attempt to win UFC gold. Thompson was one of the highest-paid fighters on the card, being edged only by Tyron Woodley, Eddie Alvarez, and Conor McGregor. However, it’s impossible to come out on top in a Conor McGregor headlined card. Thompson has since topped the aforementioned pay in his recent main event match-up against Geoff Neal.

UFC 205 will go down as one of the most historic events in combat sports and it’s easy to see why. Looking back, it was arguably one of the most stacked shows that fans fondly reminisce about the event even today.
