XcellentMMA recently shared footage of ‘Iron’ taking a photo with a fan. However, when the fan asked him to ‘kill’ his opponent, Chandler hit him with a perfect reply.

Michael Chandler won’t kill Dustin Poirier

Recently, XcellentMMA posted a video on Instagram that took Michael Chandler’s image way higher. It was captioned, “UFC fans are a different breed.” The footage included an interaction of the fighter with a fan. As the two were taking a picture, the fan said, “See you at the top.” The fighter responded with gratitude in his words.

Moreover, the fan asked Chandler to “killDustin Poirier. However, ‘Iron’ remarked, “Kill Poirier? Dang, dude! I ain’t trying to kill him. He got a wife and a daughter.” Without a doubt, the reply sent waves of admiration toward the fighter. With the countdown to the fight running, Chandler indeed secured himself a few more supporters.

‘The Diamond’ might take the fight personally

Earlier, ‘Iron Mike’ made the claim that ‘The Diamond’ was taking the fight personally. However, he denied the same about himself. Chandler said, “I think it’s personal because of me, but not toward me, if that makes sense.” He further clarified, “I think Dustin’s been the guy who came in and have done what I’ve done. I don’t think it’s necessarily directed toward me personally, just this figure of this guy who is me stepping inside the cage.”

Furthermore, the fighter claimed that the fight would be an interesting one for the audience and the fighters alike. He said, “He and I will, as we always do, go out there and bite down on our mouthpieces and get into a hard-fought scrap, and it will be entertaining, and like Dustin said, somebody’s most likely getting sparked out.”

Poirier’s coach, Mike Brown, confirmed that ‘The Diamond’ is different now. He believed that Poirier was more motivated than ever and has trained really hard. The pound-for-pound number 11 will face the lightweight number 5, in UFC 281, at Madison Square Garden. However, fans would not look for a winner or loser. All they want is to watch their favorite fighter go against each other.
