Chael Sonnen’s love and admiration for his ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ employer, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is off the charts. This was made public many times before. Sonnen’s admiration for ‘The Terminator’ was reflected in an interview with TMZ.

Before his big fight in Inglewood, Chael Sonnen was interviewed by TMZ. His love for Arnold Schwarzenegger further splashed out as he believed that ‘The Terminator’ would have conquered the world, if he had entered the MMA arena.

Chael Sonnen believed Arnold Schwarzenegger would have done well in MMA
TMZ questioned Chael Sonnen about what would have happened if Arnold Schwarzenegger had stepped into mixed martial arts. “Hypothetical question. How do you think Schwarzenegger would fare in MMA, back in his heyday?”, asked TMZ.

The answer was obvious as Sonnen believed ‘The Terminator’ would have been a champion. “You know, he’d probably do pretty well”, he answered, “He just never failed at anything, right. He came over here, he barely spoke the language, he made his millions, he got his fame.” He further disclosed his admiration for Schwarzenegger saying that he didn’t know of anything where ‘The Terminator’ came short. Additionally, he said, “I imagine if he got into MMA, he’d probably been a champion.”

During his prime, Schwarzenegger weighed around 250 pounds, which would’ve made him a heavyweight contender. However, it was against the norm, since bodybuilders have not fared well in MMA.

Hailing from the village of Thal in Austria, ‘The Terminator’ has conquered the hearts of fans with his Hollywood movies and his bodybuilding. He won the Junior Mr. Europe Contest back in 1965, which kickstarted his bodybuilding career. Thereafter, he won Mr. Universe in 1967 and three more contests. Not to forget his claims to six consecutive titles of Mr. Olympia from 1970 to 1975. After a break of five years from bodybuilding, his comeback ended with yet another Mr. Olympia title in 1980.

Sonnen even touched on the topic of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger rivalry. The rivalry between the 90s action heroes is not unknown to the world. Chael Sonnen didn’t go back in showing his desire to watch the heroes in the arena. He also said that Sylvester Stallone trained in boxing, and is not just Hollywood. So, it would have been a great fight had the duo entered the world of mixed martial arts.
