Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping spoke out on his podcast ‘Believe You Me’ and chimed in on Deontay Wilder. The former WBC champion has been in the headlines as of late due to certain comments he made. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ accused his heavyweight rival Tyson Fury of foul play in their boxing match-ups that took place.

The first bout between Fury and Wilder ended in a draw; however, the rematch was more decisive. Wilder’s Coach Mark Breland threw in the towel for his fighter after Deontay was getting stung by Fury. Tyson’s TKO win made him arguably one of the biggest stars in boxing and Deontay Wilder was none too pleased.

The Alabama native recently spoke out on the boxing bouts and explained that Tyson Fury had cheated to win. In an explosive video grab, he alleged that ‘The Gypsy King’ stuffed his 10-ounce gloves with egg-weights. Not to mention, he also said that his own trainer in Breland had poisoned his water, leading to his downfall.

Michael Bisping: “That’s just ridiculous”

‘The Count’ wasn’t too impressed with Wilder’s excuse for losing his championship status to Tyson Fury. Bisping explained that while he had a lot of respect for Wilder, his recent antics were unnecessary. Chiefly, these are the sentiments that numerous boxing fans have also expressed.

He said, “Listen, I’m a fan of Deontay Wilder. He’s a tremendous boxer and super exciting I mean the power that he has in his right hand is phenomenal. So I’m not gonna sh** on Deontay Wilder. I am gonna sh** on that fu**ing video, though. He’s damaging his reputation in my opinion.”

“The reality is now he’s calling for a rematch. He’s calling Fury a coward or whatever. You had a lot of time to exercise your right to a rematch and you never did it. When the window disappears you come out with all this, it’s silly. Number one the trainer was looking after your best interest. Then he says an egg weight in the glove. That’s just ridiculous.”

“The only one that was curious and he’s blaming Ricky Hatton for fu*ing with his glove, that’s bullsh* – was the bend in the glove. I don’t think there’s any foul play there but I can see if you’re tryna make excuses why you’d cling on to that. Just let it go, cause I like the guy. I’m a fan of his, I like the way he carries himself…usually.”
