Nate Diaz is unquestionably an MMA legend. Since his first UFC appearance in 2007, the Stockton native has won the hearts of many fans. Fans go crazy every time Diaz walks into the octagon because of the vibe he exudes. The fact that he is Nick Diaz’s brother just adds to his popularity.

As of November 2021, his professional fight record currently stands at 20 wins and 13 losses. The fighter has beaten many renowned UFC fighters, like Conor McGregor and Anthony Pettis.
Diaz began his UFC career as a contestant on Jens Pulver’s team on The Ultimate Fighter 5. Diaz was the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 5. His aggressiveness, enthusiasm, and attitude make him so popular among fans. One among a million Diaz fans, is the boxing sensation, Canelo Alvarez.

Canelo was recently spotted wearing a Nate Diaz T-shirt which read, “I’m not surprised.”

Canelo was wearing the Nate Diaz t-shirt and also said,” He’s (Nate) gonna win.” We don’t know the exact date of when the video was taken, but it doesn’t look like too long ago.

Recently, there have been many rumors going around about Canelo Alvarez taking on Nate Diaz for a boxing match. However, after seeing this, it doesn’t look like Alvarez is looking to pick a fight with Diaz.
Nate Diaz had taken to his Twitter account to take a dig at Alvarez this month. “Bruh, why Canelo ain’t waiting for these UFC guys to fight first,” he wrote.

Diaz said this in reference to Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant fight happening on the same day as the UFC 268 event. He wasn’t too happy about Canelo trying to steal the UFC’s thunder and felt he could have just sat it out instead of picking the same date to fight.

What’s next for Nate Diaz?
After his recent loss to Leon Edwards at UFC 263, the “West Coast Gangster” has not returned to the octagon. Diaz is currently on a losing streak, having lost his last two fights. With only one fight left on his current UFC contract, Nate Diaz will be aiming to achieve a win before the year is over.

Many speculated that Diaz’s next fight will be against the Swedish fighter Khamzat Chimaev. Dana White thought it was an exciting matchup as well. However, Diaz didn’t seem to appreciate the thought. A trilogy bout with Conor McGregor might potentially be on the cards for Diaz as well.
