Even at 45, Floyd Mayweather showed he has not lost a touch as he gave a masterful performance at the Etihad Arena. The exhibition bout against Don Moore, though, ended in a draw. Also, the co-main event saw Anderson Silva outclass his compatriot Bruno Machado.

Though the bouts at Etihad Arena delivered, the card itself had very little promotion. Many pointed out the lack of effort put in by one of the biggest PPV draws in combat sports, Floyd Mayweather, to attract attention to this unique event.

Though a contest against Mayweather, who is relatively smaller than Jake Paul, is not a realistic bout, an Anderson Silva showdown is definitely on the horizon.

‘The Problem Child’ is looking at a return in August. Hence, it gives ample time to ‘The Spider’ to turn around as well. However, whether Paul would accept a fight with the greatest UFC middleweight fighter is a different question.

Why Jake Paul wouldn’t fight Anderson Silva?

The UFC legend has already proved in his brief boxing career that if he had remained in boxing instead of jumping ship to MMA, he would’ve done just fine.

Even though Silva fits what Jake Paul was looking for in an opponent in the past, that’s not the case now. Initially, Paul fought non-boxers and relatively old guys with smaller frames. However, as Paul has repeatedly stated that he wants to prove that he can beat a fighter with a real boxing record, ‘The Spider’ may not feature in the conversation.

Besides, Silva wouldn’t engage in verbal spats with ‘The Problem Child’.
