Jake Paul and Canelo Alvarez are two of boxing’s biggest superstars. However, their skills and achievements inside the ring are not on the same level, to say the least. With Paul’s notoriety and, so far, picking UFC counterparts, many fighters from the premier MMA organization challenge him for a boxing bout.

Recently, a promising UFC welterweight prospect joined the new UFC norm and called out Jake Paul.

Daniel Rodriguez, after praising the Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez, answered about a potential fight with ‘The Problem Child‘. He said, “That’s the fight to make. Yo, Jake Paul man… hey, I’ll fight you.”

When asked if a Logan Paul fight interests him, he added, “I’ll fight both of these, you know, they ain’t nothing. They ain’t ready for me. I got the best hands in the UFC. Right here, you guys keep talking about what’s the best fight. I got the number one strikes landed per minute in the UFC’s welterweight history. Right here, let’s go.”

‘D-Rod’ is a highly touted UFC prospect who recently got a unanimous decision win over former UFC interim title challenger Kevin Lee. The 35-year-old had a late start to his MMA career. However, with his activity, he has gathered an impressive 16-2 record.

Besides, he has a massive 8.24 strikes landed per minute record in the welterweight division, which is amongst the top tier in the entire UFC and is only behind Sean O’Malley, 8.37.

Dana White is always dismissive of Jake Paul for picking the older UFC fighters to box. Thus, if Paul wants to prove the UFC President wrong, he could entertain a bout against an active UFC fighter, ‘D-Rog’.

Jake Paul is certain about eventually boxing Canelo Alvarez

‘The Problem Child’ has done an exceptional job of promoting his bouts in his short boxing career. With all the noise he has made thus far, only the sky is the limit for the 25-year-old.

Last year, in an interview with TMZ Sports, Paul made a big claim regarding his future boxing aspirations.

Paul said, “I’m open-minded and I think anything is possible. I think I could be fighting against Canelo Alvarez for, you know, the WBC or WBO championship belt.”

However, it is too soon to look for a future showdown between these boxing superstars.
