Khamzat Chimaev reacted to Jake Paul backing his opponent Nate Diaz to win at UFC 279. The news of Nate Diaz’s last bout took the internet by storm. Undefeated boxer, The Problem Child, also gave his initial opinion of the bout. The Ohio-born athlete offered to back the Stockton star. And when Borz got informed of it, he had nothing but an emoji to react to it.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer was always a piece of the puzzle for Diaz’s decision to get his last bout done with the UFC. And promoting his bout early with his potential opponent inside the ring, Paul smartly supported Diaz to get the better of Chimaev.

The Swedish fighter, on the other hand, was not the one to take any kind of dismissal from anybody. Thus, he posted his outspoken reaction to Paul offering to put money on Diaz in their UFC 279 bout.

The dominant 170 and 185 lbs athlete had only laughing emojis to react to Paul’s comments.

Earlier, also Chimaev dismissed Diaz as an opponent and highlighted his intention for UFC 279 with a meme. Whereas, Diaz, whom White once called UFC’s ‘anti-hero’, will look to leave the promotion on a high note with a win.

Apart from Paul picking Diaz, Chimaev and Paul had a brief history with each other. Chimaev has shown interest in competing against the little Paul brother in a boxing ring.

Previously, the rising UFC star challenged The Problem Child to box. The biggest Fight Island star for UFC not only wanted to face Jake Paul but also his brother Logan Paul on the same night.

However, the $30 million worth & 5-0 boxer reminded Chimaev, on Twitter, who was A-side when dealing with the Paul brothers.

In 2021, Chimaev’s callout came when it appeared every UFC fighter wanted to square off against Paul inside a boxing ring. The boxing star was gaining a lot of attention ahead of his bout with Tommy Fury, which eventually got canceled. Paul faced Tyron Woodley (rematch) instead, and both fighters saved the event.

Paul set another date with Fury in an MSG headliner. However, the UK-based fighter had issues entering the United States. Thus, he pulled out of the bout. Paul, though, saved the event once again as he would now face a new opponent, Hasim Rahman Jr. (12-1) on the originally scheduled date.
