WBC interim heavyweight champion, Dillian Whyte wants to compete in the UFC. ‘The Body Snatcher’ called out Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou.

Whyte has a boxing record for 27-1 with wins over some of the best competitors in the world; namely: Joseph Parker, Dereck Chisora, Oscar Rivas, etc. He is set to defend his interim title against Alexander Povetkin in July. However, that match hangs in the balance due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Recently, Whyte stated his intentions to fight in the UFC. He is optimistic about a run in the company and hopes to give some top contenders a run for their money.

Dillian Whyte believes he can destroy Stipe Miocic and ‘Chinless’ Francis Ngannou

“I would fight in the UFC, definitely, no problem. Ideally, I’d want to fight someone in a UFC fight and a boxing match, one of each, either way round, Dana White can hit me up anytime.” Whyte told the Sun.

With some experience in kickboxing, Whyte might be able to defend himself on the feet, especially the leg kicks. Surprisingly, he has one MMA bout on his résumé. He stopped Mark Stroud with a KO in 12 seconds.

Furthermore, he gave himself a fair chance to beat the current UFC heavyweight champion. With the right gameplan, Whyte believes he can knock out Stipe Miocic before he gets taken down.

“I would fight Stipe Miocic, you just have to keep him moving. I know he would try to take me down but I might put him to sleep before he gets the chance.”

“I’ll fight Francis Ngannou too, he would be my ideal fight, he’s the man but he’s got no chin.”

Realistically speaking, Whyte lacks the necessary tools to succeed at the highest level in MMA. He does not possess the wrestling or the ground game. Whyte seems to understand this and other key components of the fight game.

“All those MMA fighters would just try to take me down, that’s the only way they would try to beat me,” Dillian said.
