The entire combat sports world is eagerly awaiting Mike Tyson’s return to boxing. ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ has put out videos exhibiting his intensity ahead of potential charity exhibition bouts. The consensus has been positive regarding ‘Iron’s decision to return. UFC President Dana White too, had his say on Mike Tyson, revealing he has booked a TV show for him.

Dana White backs Mike Tyson ahead of boxing return 

In a chat with ESPN MMA’s, Brett Okamoto, the UFC President said, “Yes I have talked to Mike Tyson and you know I got him a tv show that he’s gonna do cause I was trying to do everything I could to get him to not fight.”

Later, he added that ‘Iron’ is a grown man who can do whatever he wanted to. At this moment, a montage featuring Tyson’s impressive training sessions flashes on the screen. 

“But, he’s a grown man and he can do whatever he wants to do. And I said it when the guy came out. He’s powerful, he looks explosive, he’s gotten himself in great shape. And he wants to fight so from what I’m hearing from them. They have something lined up. Something big and he’s gonna get in there and he’s set. We talked about this.”

White proceeded to give us his best Mike Tyson impression as he said, “I feel that fire. In my stomach, you know. I wanna get in there and I want to mix it up again.”

“He’s a grown man and Tyson hits hard, he’s still explosive and he’s got the fire again man. He wants to do it so. I’m fully supportive of him.”

Fans eagerly await Tyson’s return

Boxing enthusiasts all over the globe are supportive of White’s announcement and eagerly await Tyson’s return. Though White revealed that Mike Tyson has something big lined up, he did not reveal anything more, much to the dismay of fans.

Could it be the Evander Holyfield trilogy? Could it be a fight against Tyson Fury? Even better, could it be a documentary-style series? All fans can do is speculate. However, one thing is guaranteed- they are in for a treat.
