Dana White is an avid gambler. The UFC boss has even been banned from some Las Vegas casinos. The reason behind this is that the UFC boss is a smart gambler who approached the vice as a business and a way to make money.

Recently, White received $250k in casino chips from Taylor Lewan of Barstool Sports at the Red Rock casino in Las Vegas after the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix. And White went on Lewan’s ‘Bussin With the Boys’ podcast last week for an interview and spoke on the subject of potentially owning a casino.

White was not enthusiastic about the prospects of owning a casino as it was heavily regulated. The UFC boss told Lewan that he did not savor the possibility of the government coming in at any time and examining the records and looking into the operations of the casino. He felt that it was a real hassle to go through the process to get all of the paperwork and licenses to open a casino.

“The thing about owning a f**ing casino is uh you got to go through a lot of f*ing sh* to try to own a casino. That’s like f**ing running for office. So basically the government can come into your house at any point in time, go through your safe, go through your phone, go through all your personal f**ing records, you know,” he said.

“The gaming industry is incredibly regulated by the government… It is the most regulated sh** in this country. And the government is paying attention to everything, it’s very very regulated. So to get a license in gaming you got to go through hell,” White added.

Lewan had teamed up with Youtuber SteveWillDoIt to make $250k each for the UFC boss at the Red Rocks casino. Both started with a seed capital of $10k and managed to turn it into $250k each at the end of the night, to White’s delight.

From his newfound sense of health to earning accolades from competitors, Dana White seems certainly to be at the top of his game. And recently, the BKFC president has much to say about White’s contribution to MMA.

Hi, I am Kanishk and I am a UFC Writer at EssentiallySports. I love telling the stories of these magnificent fighters and this wildly unpredictable sport that is so frustrating and yet so joyous at the same time. I never really used to watch MMA, thinking it too crude or brutal a sport to deserve respect.
