UFC Copenhagen featured a light heavyweight fight between UFC veteran Ovince Saint Preux and Michal Oleksiejczuk. Ovince Saint Preux is an experienced fighter with 37 fights under his belt. He has also fought for the UFC light heavyweight title in the past against Jon jones. Though he has not been consistent with his performance, UFC Copenhagen saw the best of him as he submitted his opponent with Von Flue choke.

The first round was pretty even, but Oleksiejczuk fairly won the round. He put early pressure on Saint Preux and most likely won the points with striking. However, OSP survived the early furry and was able to come up with a fight winning game plan in the second round.

Ovince Saint Preux started the second round with a few good leg kicks before taking Oleksiejczuk down near the ring side. Then he used his body weight to keep Oleksiejczuk down and submitted him with Von Flue choke. First, OSP went for a Kimura and then he used his body weight to put the pressure on Oleksiejczuk’s chin.

In the history of UFC, only 6 matches have ended with this submission and OSP owns four of them. This result is very disappointing for Oleksiejczuk  since he was doing exceptionally well in striking, landing 33 significant strikes compared to 5 significant strikes from OSP. However, Ovince Saint Preux pulled up an amazing win with a rare Von Flue choke.
