Being one half of the main event Cerrone should have been rewarded with a portion of the PPV buys. However, it seems that he did not get a significant boost in his fight purse. It is to be noted that the PPV buys for UFC 246 went up to 1 million and Conor McGregor went home with a $3 million fight purse. However, Cowboy got a payday of only $200k.
