Call of Duty-Warzone: Stipe Miocic Relishing E-Sports Stint With Max Holloway

UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic spoke to Robbie Fox of Barstool Sports following his emphatic victory at UFC 252. Miocic defended his gold strap against Daniel Cormier in their highly anticipated rubber match to decide the Heavyweight GOAT.

Moreover, the upbeat interview saw an interesting prospect for the online gaming community, with a possible UFC team-up.

The blogger and self-proclaimed nerd asked the champion whether he would be interested in teaming up with him. Additionally, he suggested a collaboration with fellow UFC fighters and Twitch streamers, Max Holloway and Megan Anderson. Naturally, the Croatian-American fighter was open to a collaboration with his fellow fighters on the roster.

It seems as though Robbie Fox is keen to go after the Barstool e-sports team in Stoolz Hooliganz. The MMA and gaming community would be thrilled to see a match-up involving the collision of the two worlds. Additionally, the recent release of UFC 4 and the concurrent EA Sports stream had fans of both sports heavily invested in the crossover potential.

UFC 252: Stipe Miocic vs Daniel Cormier

The consensus Heavyweight GOAT finally got the famed status in the aforementioned trilogy fight with DC. The bout went to the judge’s scorecards and served as an entertaining back and forth technical clinic. Moreover, there were controversial aspects of the 5-round fight that became a talked-about narrative.

Both marquee fighters, unfortunately, exchanged fouls in the form of eye-pokes during the fight. The unintentional fouls went a long way in disrupting the challenger’s vision going into the championship rounds. It later surfaced that Daniel Cormier suffered a torn cornea at the hands, more specifically fingers, of Stipe.

The MMA community was up in arms after the fight as the narrative largely surrounded the eye-pokes. Fans of the sports took to Twitter and expressed their displeasure over the unintentional yet repetitive pokes in the cage. However, as time moves on, the fight will surely be remembered more for its legacy in UFC’s storied history.
