Electronic Arts is making a splash with their latest edition of UFC 4. Last month, the company ended speculation and revealed the cover athletes for the game with Jorge Masvidal and Israel Adesanya, who had a stellar 2019, sharing the honor. Their inclusion divided fans, and reactions have become more polarizing with the in-game reveals. But UFC President Dana White has dismissed all complaints.
In a chat with Tony Mui of Complex, White addressed the dissent over UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo being ranked over Tony Ferguson. ‘Deus da Guerra’ is ranked 21, whilst ‘El Cucuy’, who suffered a spectacular defeat at UFC 249, is 24 on the list.

He said, “Listen to all the crybabies who are crying about that. The guy’s a world champion. Controversial first fight. Zero controversy in the second fight. One of the most violent fights I have ever seen in my life, okay? Deal with it. The guy deserves it.”

‘Deus da Guerra’ became the company’s third flyweight champion after Demetrious Johnson and Henry Cejudo. He earned the belt by submitting Joseph Benavidez in the main event of Fight Island’s third fight card.
Dana White unsure if he is a fighter on UFC 4
Also, the UFC President addressed the possibility of his character being part of the game for a second time. He featured as a fighter on UFC 3, but believes he will not be in this game, which hits stores on August 14.
“I don’t think so, I don’t think I’m in this one. That was something EA wanted to do in the last game and there was a lot of people that wanted to kick my a** and they had fun with it. I don’t think I’m in 4. I don’t think I am.”

This may disappoint some fans who were upset at the rankings. They would likely take it out on the UFC President in the game, despite him having no say in the matter. However, his defense of the rankings is a telling sign that he supports EA’s decisions throughout.
