UFC Strawweight Carla Esparza spoke to the media ahead of her main card fight against Marina Rodriguez. The scheduled bout is slated to take place on Yas Fight Island in Abu Dhabi in the last 4 consecutive events. The bout serves as a huge opportunity for either fighter to separate themselves from the pack in a crowded division.

Not to mention, both women have looked impressive in their recent outings inside the cage. Fight fans are excited to see the development of a stacked 115-pound division as the two square-off. Chiefly, given the streaks that both elite fighters are on, a shot at the gold strap is a prospect for the victor.

“I’m definitely down to fight her. First things first, I got to handle business over here on ‘Fight Island,’ but of course. I’m down to fight anyone. I always have been and that’s news to me. I didn’t know she called out the winner of this fight. But yeah, I’m game.”
