Not to mention, the weight class is a shark tank of elite talent that spans the entire top 15 rankings. Moreover, several fighters are closing in on a title shot after racking up impressive performances in their recent outings.

Ben Askren chimes in

Funky’ spoke out on women’s Bantamweight Bethe Correia who had a minor slip up on the scale. The Brazilian veteran is set to face off against a game opponent in Pannie Kianzad on the preliminary section of the card. Askren once again kept his Twitter followers entertained with a play-by-play version of events.

The former 170-pound contender frequently uses his massive fan base to break down the fight game. However, she has been unable to capture traction through her career in terms of mainstream visibility. The Swedish fighter will be looking to capitalize on the exposure that Fight Island offers and extend her streak.
