UFC bantamweights: Adrian Yanez vs Gustavo Lopez
The 12-3 fighter in Yanez is on a five-fight win streak that includes wins in Dana White’s Contender Series and the UFC. He decapitated Victor Rodriguez via head kick back in October and showed fans he’s a dangerous threat. In fact, a huge reason for his rivalry with Lopez comes in because fans are backing him to KO Gustavo Lopez.

Yanez relies on being explosive right from the jump, and he isn’t one to give his opponent any space to advance. Moreover, he’s not afraid of getting into a firefight and will continue to throw bombs till he lands. He’s built up quite the reputation for being a violent enforcer in the bantamweight division, and he’ll want to continue that trend.
Gustavo Lopez is 1-1 in the UFC, and he’s coming off an RNC submission over Anthony Birchak in his last fight. His debut against Merab Dvalishvili didn’t go as planned, but that’s certainly a tough introductory match-up for anyone. The former Combate Americas champion is a dynamic finisher with skills on the feet and the ground.

The Xtreme Couture standout will look to get the fight to the ground and advance his position in due course. Rushing in on Yanez has proven to be an ill-advised strategy, as the past has shown. Lopez has the skills to dominate on the ground and put forth a clean win. He’ll have to focus on giving his opponent different looks to keep him guessing if he is to be successful with his plan.
Prediction: Gustavo Lopez to claim a second-round submission win.
