Former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm made her presence known in a massive way when she won the day over Irene Aldana. The bout took place as the main event at UFC Fight Night inside the Flash Forum in Abu Dhabi. ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ claimed a dominant unanimous decision and even picked up a 50-44 score.

The fight started off relatively even, but Holm soon pulled away as the rounds went on. Moreover, Aldana spent almost the entire duration of the five-round fight chasing Holly around the cage. The Jackson Wink star peppered Irene Aldana with strikes and body kicks, racking up continuous offense throughout. What’s more, she broke her own record for significant strikes thrown in a five-round fight.

Famed MMA journalist Ariel Helwani was excited to see Holly’s sharp performance in her main event outing. Furthermore, Helwani believed that Holm’s most recent performance is comparable to her break out appearance over Ronda Rousey.
