UFC Featherweight Brian Kelleher spoke to the media at a scrum, via MMA Fighting, ahead of UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs Sakai. The event is set for August 5th and will see an exciting main card with important divisional match-ups.
Kelleher will face Kevin Natividad on the main card and will look for a statement performance against the newcomer. “Boom” has faced some adversity as of late going 2-3 in his last five outings in the promotion.
Moreover, he has also seen some inactivity as injuries have been plaguing the veteran. He will be keen to put on a powerful display and possibly earn the ‘Performance of the Night’ honors in the process.

Brian Kelleher sounds off
The grizzly veteran in Kelleher also expressed his views on possibly fighting Sean O’Malley who has made a splash in the company. ‘Sugar’ Sean has commanded significant attention ever since he first appeared on the scene. He recently lost his undefeated status when he recently fought against Marlon “Chito” Vera at UFC 252.
Brian Kelleher seemed rather uninterested in O’Malley’s recent outing and commented on the loss. However, he went on to say that it’s a fight he could consider as his professional career progresses.

“Part of the mystique with that fight was taken away from you know, “Chito” beat him. Part of it is like wanting to take that 0 away from a guy that’s undefeated, that has this invincibility about him. You want to steal that and take away that shine.
“He’s definitely a big fight, you know for the future. We’ll definitely meet at some point.”
