UFC Women’s Strawweight: Mallory Martin vs Hannah Cifers
The 1-1 UFC fighter in Martin mounted an impressive comeback against Cifers when she earned a second-round finish. The win came via submission after she faced tremendous adversity in the opening round of the fight. The RNC finish came after she was dropped to the canvas by Hannah Cifers, who seemed ready to capitalize.

Mallory Martin could not contain her excitement after she pulled off an incredible win over her opponent. The opening fight of the night set the tone for a slew of exciting finishes that are all in contention for Fight/Performance of the Night. The relative newcomer showcased grit and toughness in a performance sure to impress the UFC brass.
Women’s Strawweight: Polyana Viana vs Emily Whitmire
The 115 lb action continued in the women’s division as Polyana Viana earned a slick round-one submission. She snagged the arm of Emily Whitmire and displayed her dominance over her opponent. Moreover, her entry to the ground position was highly impressive from a grappling viewpoint.

With a finish in less than 2 minutes, it is clear that the strawweight division has been put on notice. The MMA community largely favored Vianna if the fight hit the canvas, and she lived up to fan expectations. Not to mention, she snapped a three-fight win streak and got herself back in the win column.
UFC Welterweight: Sean Brady vs Christian Aguilera
The 170 lb fight on the preliminary portion of the fight card lived up to the hype in a meaningful way. Sean Brady locked in a submission in the second round of his contest against veteran fighter Christian Aguilera. The lethal guillotine choke put Aguilera’s lights out and looked menacing from a fan’s perspective.

The mounted guillotine choke is a complicated submission and is rarely utilized in high-level MMA competitions. The win stands out in the welterweight division, given the large number of high-level grappling experts in the weight class. Moreover, the win put Brady in a commanding position as he looks to extend his UFC run.

Featherweight: Alex Caceres vs Austin Springer
Featherweight Alex Caceres continued his streak of submissions on the card, as he stopped Austin Springer. The end came at 03:38 of the very first round via a RNC choke that extended Caceres’ win streak to 3. Caceres has been a fringe player at 145 lb; however, his recent streak has put the division on notice.

He overcame many changes in opponents and looked incredibly sharp on the ground. Additionally, he thwarted the takedown attempt by Springer and eventually took his opponent’s back. The early stoppage win added onto a collection of impressive performances that have captured the MMA community.
