UFC Fight Night: Holm vs Aldana sees a heavyweight clash set up as the co-main event feature on the card. Dana White Contender’s Series stand-out Yorgan De Castro will face off against Carlos Felipe in what should be a slugfest. Both the aforementioned heavyweight fighters have the propensity to chase the violent finish, making it a lock for ‘Fight of the Night’.
Although no immediate implications lie on the fight in terms of the title landscape, the weight class is constantly evolving. Barring the top divisional mainstays such as Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou, the division is constantly on the lookout for new challengers. What’s more, a single statement performance on the highly viewed Fight Island cards can boost one’s profile.
Additionally, an extremely intense face-off means the fighter will enter the cage with a chip on their shoulder.

UFC Heavyweights: Yorgan De Castro vs Carlos Felipe
The 33-year-old fighter, Castro, is coming off a decision loss to Greg Hardy wherein he ostensibly looked flat. The pressuring style he had utilized in his previous KO victory was absent, and he appeared tentative of Hardy’s athleticism. Going into his fight with Felipe, Yorgan will look to make the most of the co-main event slot.

‘Boi’ also dropped his first pro career loss when he faced Sergey Spivak back in July 2020. With a loss in his UFC debut, Carlos will have to make his presence known when facing off a relatively known commodity in De Castro. Not to mention Carlos has heavy hands, to say the least with 6 of his 8 wins coming by TKO.
Carlos Felipe looked sluggish in his last outing, and there won’t be much room for error. Yorgan De Castro will look to pick his shots against the trotting Brazilian and has a wide arsenal to pull from. Yorgan has blitzed in at the right time when facing power punchers, and the 30-foot cage will favor his style. However, Carlos’s durability will play a factor and the fight is unlikely to end in a violent finishing sequence.
