UFC heavyweights Ben Rothwell and Marcin Tybura will collide on the main card for UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs Sandhagen. The bout is expected to be a technical exchange, given the fact that both athletes are economical with their output. However, there’s no denying that heavyweight carnage could easily unfold with some explosive exchanges that a three-round contest promises.
‘Big’ Ben is on a two-fight run in the company and has gone 2-2 overall since making his return. He was sidelined for several years and finally made his way back in 2019. Although Rothwell is far from being a major player in the division, he could certainly find his way back up with a statement win.

Marcin Tybura also rides into the contest off the back of a two-fight winning streak, albeit to lesser competition. Ben Rothwell will be a major step up in competition for Tybura. He has faced some big names such as Fabricio Werdum and Derrick Lewis earlier into his UFC career. The Polish fighter will be keen to use the platform that Yas Island provides and possibly build his second UFC three-fight win streak.

The 38-12 fighter, Rothwell has experience in facing the top dogs in the heavyweight division for several years on end. He enters the bout with a depth of submission grappling experience that is uncommon at his size. What’s more, he’s no slouch when it comes to trading on the feet as displayed in his recent TKO win over Stefan Struve.

‘Tybur’ has a wide variation in his stand-up and effectively mixes in switch Thai kicks that can flatten any opposition. His takedown defense has proven itself to be a liability and will probably be tested against ‘Big ’Ben. His cardio once the fight leaves the first round isn’t up to par and will factor in when facing a durable opponent.

Ben Rothwell possesses the tools to extend the fight into his own realm; however, he will have to be wary of Tybura’s kicks. he has a tendency of slipping his head off the centerline whilst advancing, thus leaving himself susceptible to high kicks. However, his iron chin and well-rounded skill set will probably be the deciding factor in the aforementioned match-up.
