Khama Worthy and Ottman Azaitar seem to be the biggest beneficiaries after the UFC scrapped the Teixeira vs Santos main event. ‘The Deathstar’ Khama Worthy is striking fans’ delight. He hasn’t landed a takedown in the UFC and secured finishes in both his fights with the company.

The 22-fight veteran is riding a six-fight win streak and will want to have a number by his name in the lightweight division sooner, rather than later.

He is the senior fighter in the UFC but will face stiff opposition from ‘Bulldozer’ Ottman Azaitar. The German fighter is an undefeated professional fighter and has secured 75% of his career wins by T/KO.

He made his UFC debut at the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Dustin Poirier event and attracted attention with a clean KO punch in this first round. This win will put a chip on his shoulder. He will want to prove to the world that it was no fluke, and he is worthy of his contract with the company.

UFC Fight Night: Waterson vs Hill- Analysis

Khama Worthy landed a combined 76 strikes in two UFC fights. He absorbed just 53 at a 3.09 rate per minute. Fans could see this change against ‘Bulldozer’, who has claimed nine career T/KOs via punches.

Azaitar landed 27 strikes in just over three minutes at his UFC debut. His career statistics show that he will throw a high volume of punches at the UFC Apex too.

‘The Deathstar’ has lost four of his six career fights via T/KO punches. But, if he is to attain a rank, he will have to overcome various challenges, and the prospect of seeing him fight someone who can go toe-to-toe with him is enticing.

Worthy has an advantage in the fight with a three-inch height advantage. This will see him throw punches at his natural height and catch Azaitar flush in the face and upper torso. Also, he possesses a three-inch reach advantage which will assist him in getting free shots throughout the fight.

Furthermore, ‘The Deathstar’ has experience at the UFC Apex. He is aware of the dimensions regarding a fight in a 25-foot octagon. On paper, Khama Worthy has the numbers in his favor, but Azaitar is the unknown prospect with an excellent record who could spring a surprise.

Prediction: Khama Worthy to win via second-round TKO.
