Thus, to cement their spot in the division, either fighter needed a win. And what better way to make a mark than the co-main event of a UFC Fight Night?

The two met for the co-headliner of the event. Stylistically, the bout promised to be a banger. Both Mike and Marcin are dangerous strikers. And without a doubt, the fighters delivered on the promise of excitement.

The fight started with both fighters dishing out controlled, steady strikes. As they fought for the control of the 25-foot Octagon, the trade of strikes remained consistent. As Mike would reveal after the fight, Marcin came out with quite an unfamiliar volume of kicks, thus catching Mike’s strategy regarding Marcin’s gameplay off-guard.

In order to bag a victory, Mike knew he would have to close the distance on Prachinio. Further, it has been quite apparent that Prachinio’s chin has not been holding out much lately.

Thus, being able to land strikes while rendering him out of his striking zone was the perfect strategy for beating Prachinio. And that is exactly the approach that Mike used.

Mike added yet another KO victory to his resume, with his record at 11-4-0. Out of the 11 wins, 9 came by KO/TKO, and 2 via submissions. Thus, with none of his fights reaching the judges’ scorecards, he is building up quite a reputation for himself.
