The main card opener for UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs Holland bears witness to a heavyweight clash of epic proportions. Australian heavy hitter, Tai Tuivasa, takes on 10-fight professional, Harry Hunsucker, to kick off the main card with a bang. Both men are coming of T/KO wins in their last fights respectively and fans are bookending an exciting finish.
The heavyweight division is picking up steam in a massive way, and the divisional title is on the line soon. Many newer names have emerged at the forefront, and the division isn’t as top-heavy as it once was. Stringing a few consecutive performance bonus-worthy finishes together is oftentimes enough to boost fighters towards contention and both heavyweights will aim to do just that.

UFC heavyweights: Tai Tuivasa vs Harry Hunsucker
‘Bam Bam’ Tuivasa broke his three-fight skid when he bounced back with a KO win over Stefan Struve in October. Prior to his disappointing slump, he was undefeated and was moving up the ranks towards contention. However, the elites of the division like Junior Dos Santos and Blagoy Ivanov came out to be too crafty.
Tai Tuivasa has been putting in work under the AKA outfit, and his offensive wrestling is expected to have picked up steam. Additionally, he believes that his approach to the fight game has greatly improved, and this is will be reflected from here on out. He’s facing a fellow flash cannon KO hitter, and Tuivasa will be counting on his accuracy to hit big.

Harry Hunsucker makes his UFC debut after earning a 45-second KO in his last fight outside the promotion. He fell short in his Dana White’s Contender Series opportunity back in November 2020, where he was finished via TKO. ‘The Hurricane’ clearly has a ‘kill or be killed’ outlook on fighting and this is perhaps why he’s in the promotion.
Hunsucker can blitz into range much like his opponent, however, he’s not quite as plotting on his feet. The 32-year-old embodies the classic case of durability mixed with spotty cardio, but this fight isn’t expected to go this distance. A debut win over Tuivasa will help Harry Hunsucker enter the spotlight in a massive way. Unfortunately, we don’t see it being a walk in the park for him.
