Blood gushed all over the octagon canvas as both men continued their tussle for control on the ground. Damon Jackson was leaking blood from the forehead-eyebrow region and the referee had to call in the doctor. The medical professional assessed the damage and deemed it to be cosmetic over anything else.

Furthermore, Rosa made the fight interesting by continuing to show heart right from the get-go. When he saw that Jackson was compromised from the cut, Rosa aimed to capitalize and even chased submissions. However, by the end, it wasn’t enough and the judges rightfully granted the decision win to Damon Jackson.

UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling took to Twitter and commented on the action as it played out. While Jackson had clearly done enough to win in the earlier rounds, the fight was dangerously close to being stopped in round three.
