UFC Vegas 42 will be live in action this weekend inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. A much-anticipated featherweight bout between Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez is slated to headline the event.

However, this fight card reflects a few other amazing bouts as well. One of them is the intriguing women’s flyweight bout that will feature on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night.

The #5 in the women’s flyweight division Cynthia Calvillo will clash against #12 Andrea Lee inside the cage. Calvillo is currently on a two-fight skid. She will look for ways to bounce back in the win column with a victory in this fight.

Cynthia Calvillo has a decent professional fighting record of 9-3 under her name. She has two knockout wins and three submission wins under her belt. She was on a three-fight undefeated streak after her UFC debut. However, she is going through a downturn since then. Calvillo is 1-3 in her four previous bouts.

Meanwhile, Andrea Lee made her UFC debut in 2018 and went on winning three of her bouts. However, she lost all of her next three fights in the promotion.

Talking about the fight, ‘KGB’ has a two-inch height and five-inch reach advantage over Calvillo. Hence, the former will be able to land strikes from a distance. Also, ‘KGB’ lands an average of 5.48 strikes per minute, which is a concerning number for Calvillo.

However, Calvillo’s wrestling will play a role in this fight against Lee. Most of her UFC wins have come via a unanimous decision. She might do the same in this fight. Only if Calvillo retaliates against the precision strikes of ‘KGB’ and takes it to the distance, the odds might fall in her favor.
