The UFC has a great event in store for the fans in UFC Vegas 24. The event that Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum are headlining is set to feature rising star Tracy Cortez in action against Justine Kish. They will fight in the main event of the preliminary card.
This will be Cortez’s third fight in the UFC after she got a decision victory over Mariya Agapova in Dana White’s Contender series. Amazingly, she’s on an eight-fight winning streak after losing her first professional fight against Cheri Muraski.

The fight is set for the flyweight division, where Cortez’s opponent has fought recently. Interestingly, Cortez is likely to have a size advantage. She has fought at bantamweight before, while Kish has fought at strawweight. However, Kish is not someone to be taken lightly.
Justine Kish has a professional record of 7-3, and she’s 3-3 in the UFC. This might seem bad in comparison to Cortez’s 8-1, but it’s deceptive in nature. Cortez is relatively inexperienced and has won six of her eight fights via decision. While on the other hand, Kish has won five fights by decision and two via submission.

Interestingly, Kish has been known for her striking. She competed in Muay Thai for 10 years and became the Muay Thai world champion. She’s also 2-0 in her boxing career, which seems to be on hold for a while. It would suit her to keep the fight on the ground, but she will have a hard time doing it against Cortez.

Cortez is an amazing wrestler and likes to take her opponents down. They both have the same height, but Cortez also has the reach advantage. She is going to try to keep the fight on the ground where Kish is relatively weak. It’s a classic grappler vs. striker match-up.
