Joseph Benavidez(27-5-0) found a way of keeping busy ahead of his fight with Deiveson “Deus Da Guerra” Figueiredo(17-1-0). As Benavidez prepares for one of the most important fights of his career, he managed to take time out to have some fun. The contender and his wife made an appearance on a popular show “Live with Kelly and Ryan”, hosted by Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest.

Kelly and Megan watched the master of “Joe-Jitsu” show the audience how to execute a guillotine choke with perfection on Seacrest. Although the intensity of the hold was not as high as some would have liked, the co-host could clearly be seen gasping for breath as he tapped out. Benavidez and Megan stopped by in order to promote his upcoming fight and to show off some moves. Seacrest happily volunteered to act as the fighter’s test subject and found himself toe to toe with one of the stalwarts of his division.

Joseph Benavidez’s “Joe-Jitsu”

Known for taking most of his wins through knockouts and submissions, Joseph claims to eat black belts for breakfast. One such instance is his bout against Wagnney Fabiano. He brought the fight to an end with a guillotine choke in the second round. Against all odds, the Team Alpha Male fighter also beat Miguel Torres exactly like he beat Fabiano. It was with a guillotine choke in the second round.
