Phil Mickelson would never battle the athletically gifted and hardworking 27-year-old young golf sensation, Jon Rahm, as his outside-the-course workout routine, impressed the legendary golfer.

Michael Allen, a former PGA Tour pro, offered about Rahm’s hard work and Mickelson’s comments on the Golf’s subpar podcast.

Allen said, “I sit there and work out with Rahm every day.” Later, the PGA Tour champion revealed what Phil Mickelson had told him about Jon Rahm.

What did Phil Mickelson say about Jon Rahm?

“Phil Mickelson said he’d never battle with him again, cause he’s that good,” said Allen.

The six-time major championship winner and the 51-year-old used to be stable in the top 50 of golf rankings for years. Thus, a compliment like this shows the serious talent the 27-year-old possesses.

Allen further talked about Rahm’s insane workout routine and said, “this guy Spencer’s got him training on this kickboxing thing with his elbows. I’ll tell you what, he’s also the top UFC fighter of all the golfers on Tour.”

Reiterating his point about Rahm’s workout, Allen said, “This guy would do some damage to you, just watching his workout.”

Rahm has been a world number one. In addition, he banked the major championships at a young age. Thus, he has already proved his worth on the golf course. Now, with this revelation, it appears he is no joke to battle outside the golf course as well.

Both golf and the UFC are popular sports. Though there have been instances of a UFC fighter showing interest in golf, the other way, like this, is very rare.

The former UFC double champion and future hall of fame, Daniel ‘DC‘ Cormier, battled the former interim lightweight champion, Justin ‘Highlight‘ Gaethje, in a very heated golf match. The bout was intense from the start as Cormier took many false advantages and had Gaethje in a tense moment.

Cormier took full benefit of his joyful personality to lure Gaethje into traps. However, the Arizona native’s skills in the golf course were there to back him up.

Gaethje constantly accused Cormier of cheating. However, Cormier didn’t take a back step. Thus, Cormier beat Gaethje quite cheekily in the friendly contest.
