UFC-247 saw Dominick Reyes and Jon Jones battle it out in the octagon. Jon Jones emerged victorious at the end of 5 rounds by unanimous decision.

At the post-fight conference, Reyes answered a stream of questions.

On being asked about how he was feeling post-fight, Dominick responded, “Disappointment. I am proud of myself, though. I went out here and fought with all my heart. The goal for me, for this fight, was to make it an instant classic. I feel like I accomplished that today.”

Carrying on, Reyes said, “Man, I do feel disrespected. One of the judges had it 49-46. Like, who are you? I might wanna have a word with you”, chuckling. “Other than that, I know I won that fight. I was in that fight. I don’t have to watch the replay. I was there. I made Jon Jones look like just a man. I brought the fight to him.”

Giving his remarks on how his strategy panned out, Reyes said, “Round one went exactly how I thought it was going to go. It was a little trippy. I was like ‘whoa, this is going exactly how I thought it would. Heck Yeah!'”

“For me, this is a huge validation. It’s my very first time going five rounds in my entire career. Against Jon Jones who is arguably the greatest of all time. And I put it on him, I took it to him. I feel like I’m the people’s champ.”
