Israel Adesanya defends his middleweight title against Yoel Romero in the main event of UFC 248. This fight was not supposed to happen. Adesanya should have faced Paulo Costa in his first title defense. However, Costa suffered an injury and was out of the title picture.

So Adesanya called out Yoel Romero because he wants to fight the best of his generation. And irrespective of his record, Romero is considered one of the toughest opponents at middleweight division. Adesanya’s will to prove himself against the best fighters helped this title fight come to fruition. And the fans saw a glimpse of what this duo has to offer on the fight night when they faced off during the press conference.

The press conference was an intriguing one with Israel Adesanya talking about the contenders in middleweight division such as Paulo Costa and Jared Cannonier. He also reassured the fans that the super fight with Jon Jones will take place in Raiders stadium in 2021.

But things started to get heated when Adesanya talked about Romero’s botched weight cuts and the stool gate incident with Tim Kennedy. It was a very entertaining press conference and it ended on a high note as Adesanya got into a dance-off battle with Romero.

After the face-off, while Adesanya started dancing on the stage, Romero took this as an opportunity to show off his dancing skills as well as his athletic ability.

Well, it’s safe to say that Romero won the dance battle with a backflip and a split at the end. Though it seemed Adesanya would continue the battle he decided to let Romero have the win.
