It is surprising considering Masvidal is known to most of the world as a mixed martial artist. He has picked up a name for himself after years in the company, as the next title contender for the UFC welterweight championship.

However, on a surprising note, Masvidal picked up a Grammy for his first music album. Masvidal’s 2019 “Greatest Hits” album featured Nate Diaz in a song titled, “The Doctor Will See You Now.” Masvidal picked up an impressive victory via doctor stoppage at the end of the third round of the fight at UFC 244. Prior to an incredible performance against Nate Diaz, Masvidal picked up a scintillating victory against UFC veteran and now retired Ben Askren. The single titled, “The Baptism of Ben Askren” also made it to Masvidal’s album.

Masvidal’s lookalike Dan Smyers won Grammy for Best Country Duo Group Performance for the song “Speechless.” Masvidal was quick to respond to the photos that surfaced online. Smyers is one half of the music duo Dan + Shay. He looked quite similar to Masvidal in a red tuxedo and long hair. It was hilarious to see Masvidal take the opportunity to spread the word that he won grammy. And it took the social media with surprise, and some of them holding their stomach during their morning breakfast.
