Conor McGregor has wrapped up shooting for ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ and is preparing for his comeback fight against Michael Chandler. He provided an update to the fans on social media regarding his training camp in Big Bear Lake city in California. Moreover, UFC’s rising star Sean O’Malley has expressed an interest in training with the former double champion.

Many fighters come to Big Bear Lake to train at a high altitude, as it sits at 6000 meters above sea level. UFC legend Tito Ortiz also adopted such a training regime during the peak of his MMA career. It also provides state-of-the-art facilities for fighters as well.

Conor McGregor to train at Big Bear

‘Notorious’ recently shared a tweet claiming that he will be training at Big Bear for his upcoming fight against ‘Iron’ Chandler. He already mentioned that he will be in the United States for the foreseeable future and hence decided to start training in California.

McGregor had been busy while being away from the action. He bulked up by adding some considerable amount of muscle and even started working on his first Hollywood appearance in the upcoming remake of the 1989 classic, ‘Road House’. However, Sean O’Malley has expressed an interest in training with Conor McGregor.

Sean O’Malley wants to train with the former double champion

‘Suga’ mentioned in his podcast that his interest in training with Conor McGregor started when he heard the news of him moving to Big Bear. He said, “I tweeted at him [McGregor], he said he’s going to Big Bear. I said, ‘Can I come?” He mentioned that it would be a great experience for him to train with ‘Notorious’ if ‘Suga’ can go there for a couple of weeks.

O’Malley added, “I think that would be so sick to go up there for a couple of weeks. I’ll get my own f***ing place to stay, sleep, eat and do all that. Just training, that will be f***ing sweet.” The bantamweight star is clearly eyeing an opportunity to train with one of the greats in MMA.

Sean O’Malley mentioned that he wants to go for the bantamweight title and is waiting for the outcome of the Aljamain Sterling vs Henry Cejudo bout. However, he might also be called up as a backup fighter for the bantamweight championship at UFC 288. We will have to wait and see what follows.
