

The latest episode of AEW just took place. There were a few familiar faces for the UFC fans that were present on the show. After Sammy Guevara won his match, former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos stormed into the ring with Dan Lambert’s crew of the American Top Team. Paige VanZant was also part of the team.

Guevara was on the receiving end of an attack from the ATT before Jake Hager and Chris Jericho stormed into the ring to save their ally. Y2J and ‘Cigano’ were involved in a scuffle as well.

Guevara, the champion, felt the wrath of ATT, but he was fortunate that Jericho and Hager came to his rescue. It will be interesting to see how this saga builds up next, given that Jericho got the better of Dos Santos.

UFC fans were fascinated to see two familiar faces in action. Dos Santos is one of the best fighters ever to compete in the Octagon. And VanZant has always been adored by the fans as well.

Junior Dos Santos makes his pro-wrestling debut
After the UFC had released Dos Santos, there were speculations about the former heavyweight champion’s future. Fans were wondering where he might head next. Well, those questions have been answered as AEW seems to be the Brazilian fighter’s new home.

Dos Santos left the promotion on the back of 4 consecutive T/KO losses. These defeats came against the likes of Francis Ngannou, Curtis Blaydes, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, and Ciryl Gane. The loss to Gane ended his UFC career. While many thought he might look elsewhere to continue his MMA career, it seems like he is set to pursue a career in AEW for now.
