Joe Rogan is a jack of many trades. Amongst other things, he is a stand-up comedian, host of one of the most popular podcasts in the world and a UFC commentator. Moreover, he was also the host of the American reality show, ‘Fear Factor,’ from 2001 to 2006. During his time as the host of the show, he met Shaquille O’Neal and was stunned by the 4x NBA champion.

O’Neal is a seven-foot-one-inch tall former NBA player who was towering over Rogan. Years later, on his podcast, Rogan recalls his intrusive thoughts when he met the Big Diesel and draws an amusing analogy.

Rogan is reported to be 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighs about 190-200 lbs. Meanwhile, the legendary basketball player is more than a foot taller and 100 lbs heavier. Needless to say, there is a massive disparity in their physical attributes. However, the disparity was significant enough to leave Rogan startled.

Even years later, he recalls meeting him and being captivated by the sheer size of the former NBA player. During an episode of his podcast with Joey Diaz, Rogan stated, “That’s a big human being dude,” in addition, he compares meeting O’Neal was like “A Six-year-old and his dad.”

Moreover, he had certain adjectives describe Shaquille O’Neal’s enormous size. Joe Rogan stated, “Standing next to him, he’s so big, he’s so, Gigantic.” 

Indeed, O’Neal physical attributes often leave most people stunned and Rogan is no exception. Not to mention, Rogan’s analogy, though satirical, is quite accurate given their disparity. Rogan recalls shaking O’Neal’s hands

In another episode of the podcast, ‘Joe Rogan Experience,’ he recalls the time he shook the hands of the former Lakers player. While stating, “Shaq’s the f*cking man,” Rogan asserts O’Neal can make anyone feel tiny just by standing next to them. Not to mention, he states if one goes on to shake hands with him, one would understand how big he truly is as a human.

Joe Rogan recalled, “You ever wanna feel tiny? Shake that dude’s hand. It’s like shaking a person. Like a whole person instead of a hand.”

Rogan has encountered several UFC heavyweights but it is seldom for him to talk about their size the way he does for Big Diesel.
