Nate Diaz is infamous for being outspoken and blatant in his interviews, and social media posts. He doesn’t hold back on his thoughts, no matter how offensive or unpleasant they might seem to others. He recently threatened to quit the UFC amid the promotion’s tweet regarding NFT named after the Diaz brothers.

The iconic UFC fighter took offense at the tweet, which baited users with a “guaranteed Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz NFT.” Diaz is at a war of words with the UFC in the recent past over him not getting a fight. He has repeatedly shown the desire to return to the Octagon, but the promotion didn’t pay heed.

However, his recent tweet looked full of anger and rage.

He shared the screenshot of the UFC tweet, and wrote, “It’s shit like this why I need to get the f**k out of the sorry a** UFC. Didn’t you guys suspend nick for 5 years and fine me hella money for a vape pen?! Now you’re reaping the benefits. I hope nobody buys this bullshit 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼🖕🏼.

He reminded everyone of the incident when his brother Nick ‘Not Nate’ Diaz was fined and suspended for suspicion of marijuana use.

Bellator featherweight champion Cris Cyborg also replied to Diaz’s tweet and invited him over to attend Bellator 278 in Hawaii.

“Mahalo l! Come watch the fights in Hawaii this weekend champ!”

The 37-year-old fighter openly expressed his discontent, as he previously has against the promotion.

Nate Diaz has even flirted with rival promotion Bellator in order to get a fight for himself. He still has one fight remaining on his UFC contract, which he asked to be released from last month.

The ball is in Dana White’s court as Diaz has put his thoughts out in the open.

What’s next for Nate Diaz?

The Stockton slugger has been long waiting for a viable fight to see out his contract. Diaz last fought #2 welterweight fighter, Leon Edwards, in June 2021, but lost the fight via unanimous decision.

However, he still has one fight remaining on his contract, which he wishes to conclude as soon as possible. This has put him in a conflict with the UFC, who aren’t paying heed to his demands.

He was previously linked for a fight against Dustin Poirier, and the latter was interested too. Despite that, the UFC didn’t act upon it, possibly waiting for Conor McGregor to return in order to complete the Diaz-McGregor trilogy.

McGregor is aiming for a quick return to the Octagon, but it looks unlikely for him to make it until later this year. If UFC indeed puts him against Diaz, the fans will be up for a treat.
