Yaroslav Amosov made headlines when he became the first Ukrainian to secure a title in MMA. Amosov managed to prevail against multiple-time Bellator welterweight champion, Douglas Lima, at Bellator 260 in 2022. The performance resulted in comparisons being drawn between the Ukrainian and the UFC lightweight legend, Khabib Nurmagomedov. “Dynamo” as he’s known, had also called out UFC champions to come to face him in Bellator after his win against Logan Storley at Bellator 291.

However, the hype has suddenly come crashing down around Amosov with his defeat at Bellator 301. Jason Jackson knocked out the undefeated Amosov in the 3rd round of their fight. The knockout has sent the community into a frenzy as fans were quick to comment on the viral clip on social media. And it seems like Amosov’s comments have come back to haunt him after his devastating loss!

UFC lightweight Grant Dawson recently claimed that Yaroslav Amosov had the potential to become a UFC champion if he chose to join the UFC. Dawson had claimed that both Amosov and Bellator 185 lbs champion, Johnny Eblen, would be able to secure UFC gold with their skills inside the cage.

But his comments now seem to have been derailed by Jason Jackson and his incredible striking skills! At Bellator 301, Jackson stunned the MMA fandom by shutting Amosov’s lights out with a beautiful combination. While Amosov tried to recover, he was unable to handle the heat being thrown his way and the referee had seen enough and stopped the fight.
