BKFC 41 thrilled fight fans with its chaotic moments on Saturday night at 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colorado. The highlight of this Colorado-based event was the headliner bout between Mike Perry and Luke Rockhold. In an unexpected turn of events, the former UFC welterweight emerged victorious in this light heavyweight contest.

The intense back-and-forth battle between Perry and Rockhold lasted for two rounds, with ‘Platinum’ aggressively attacking from the beginning. Eventually, he landed a brutal punch on the 38-year-old’s jaw, who quit the bout due to badly jacked-up upper teeth. It was a bitter pill to swallow for the former UFC middleweight titleholder, who had hoped for a better outcome.

After the event, Chael Sonnen spoke with Schmo and reflected on BKFC 41’s night at large. When asked about Luke Rockhold’s performance against Mike Perry and whether this calls for the end of him.

Responding to that, the 46-year-old said, “Well, I don’t know. I mean, Luke, every time he fights [he] puts up a hell of a fight. And I could go all the way back to him losing to Vitor[Belfort], I could bring in Yoel Romero. But I mean, I could keep on playing this game.”
