Former two-weight class boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi made headlines after claiming that Jake Paul can beat Conor McGregor in a MMA fight. However, UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping wasn’t amused with his opinion. ‘The Count’ recently dropped another episode of his ‘Believe You Me’ podcast and slammed Malignaggi into his comments about ‘Notorious’.
In a recent interview with ‘Lord Ping’, Malignaggi commented that Conor McGregor did not have much to show for his boxing skills. The former IBF champion even claimed a YouTuber by the name of AnEsonGib could defeat him inside the squared circle. Furthermore, ‘Magic Man’ even said that Jake Paul can beat the former UFC double champion in a MMA fight.
Malignaggi pointed out that Paul has a background in wrestling, which will prove to be an advantage for him in MMA. He said, “Jake has a high school wrestler background so he would not be totally out of his element in the cage.”

Furthermore, the former boxer mentioned that apart from the kicks, McGregor wouldn’t pose much of a threat to Paul. He believes that ‘Notorious’ would get anxious when his opponents continue to fight him back. Malignaggi added, “You can make him uncomfortable by beating oh him… if you just hang in the fight he begins to get nervous and paranoid – he’s not a true fighter.” These didn’t sit well with Michael Bisping.
Michael Bisping goes off on Paulie Malignaggi for his comments on Conor McGregor
‘The Count’ clapped back at Malignaggi and called his comments to be silly. He encourages people to have their opinions on Conor McGregor. However, he didn’t seem to agree with what ‘Magic Man’ had to say about the Irishman. Bisping said, “He’s [Malignaggi] an absolute goddamn fool… Listen, as I said, you can have some opinions on McGregor.”

Michael Bisping believes that claiming about McGregor has high anxiety levels isn’t accurate since he showcased one of the most composed mindsets at the peak of his career. “If you’re talking about Conor McGregor at his peak, you can’t say his anxiety levels are high [and] that’s why he gets tired,” said the Hall of Famer.
He also claimed not to be the biggest fan of the Irishman. However, given McGregor’s accomplishments, Bisping always remained curious as to how the former double champion managed to remain as calm as he did. He added, “Look at the moments he’s been in and listen, I am not his biggest fanboy, but I always was impressed by how calm he was always able to stay.”
