Nate Diaz put on a great show in his first-ever boxing match. His opponent, Jake Paul, had been boasting about his ability to knock out the native of Stockton for weeks leading up to the fight. However, ‘The Problem Child’ couldn’t fulfill his promise. Instead, he realized why Diaz’s former UFC rival Conor McGregor also failed to secure a knockout victory when they faced each other in the past.

Most people thought Nate Diaz would go down the same way against Jake Paul as the ‘Problem Child’s previous MMA opponents. However, he lasted the whole 10 rounds, and Paul scored a unanimous decision win. The Youtuber-turned-boxer couldn’t do what he intended, which was to knock the former UFC fighter out. Following the fight, he had some kind words to say about Diaz.

Jake Paul could not do to Nate Diaz what Conor McGregor couldn’t

Jake Paul has mocked Conor McGregor several times. Moreover, before his fight against Nate Diaz, he promised to do what the Irishman couldn’t do, and that was to knock the Stockton native out. ‘The Notorious’ fought Nate Diaz twice, and on both occasions failed to finish him off. Just like McGregor, the YouTuber-turned-boxer also failed to do the same.

After the fight, Jake Paul spoke about the bout and understood Diaz’s mettle and why he’s such a highly-rated fighter. He said, “He’s tough. He’s real tough [and] that’s what he’s known for.” The fight may have ended in ‘The Problem Child’s favor, but he commended the warrior spirit of the former UFC fighter.

Jake Paul said, “I knocked him down and won basically every round. I think he won one round, but he a warrior, you know.”
Furthermore, the social media star mentioned how he almost had Nate Diaz in the first round. Judging by the beating the Stockton native took during the fight, Paul acknowledged how tough Diaz really was. “I had him hurt in the first round. He kept on coming and no one’s taken that much damage,” said Jake Paul. Let us now take a look at how the fight went.
