Matt Frevola, while expressing his amusement on the Jake Paul PFL deal, suggested that the YouTuber turned boxer face Shane Burgos as his first opponent. Burgos, who recently signed to the PFL from UFC, has an impressive record of 15 wins and 3 losses.

“Wow Jake Paul to PFL that’s wild. Who we want to see him fight? I think Hurricane Shane should get it.” tweeted Matt.

It might seem unlikely that the promotion would throw someone as dangerous as Burgos in front of ‘The Problem Child’. As can be seen in the released video, the former Disney star has already called out veteran Nate Diaz. A proposed boxing match followed by an MMA fight was the offer Paul made to Diaz. Whether or not the younger Diaz brother agrees to it or not is a completely different discussion.

The promotion has set an entirely new division called the Super Fight division for ‘The Problem Child’ to compete in. The division will air two pay-per-view cards in 2023 and fighters are expected to make at least 50% of the PPV revenue. To make things more entertaining, this division could also have multiple celebrities and influencers competing inside the PFL cage.

Jake Paul, in his young career as a boxer, has already rubbed shoulders with quite a few MMA fighters. With his previous win over Anderson Silva, his list of wins over retired MMA fighters continues to grow. In that context, his move to PFL could mark the beginning of another chapter in the former YouTuber’s career as a fighter. Although will he face Shane Burgos or will Nate Diaz accept his proposal is something fans can only speculate.
