The UFC commentator was having a conversation in the #1991 episode of his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. While talking with his guests Rogan said, “BJ was the motherf*cker when he was in his prime. You gotta look at a guy in their prime. Mike Tyson in his prime. You gotta look at them in their prime. You can’t look at them when they’re deteriorating and say ‘Ah overall they didn’t.’ Overall,  you are correct, but if you want to look at their greatest expression…”

The former ‘Fear Factor’ host’s viewpoint gives the idea that assessing fighters during their prime enables a deeper understanding of their skills. Nonetheless, by the time a fighter retires, the crowd often gives importance to the weak years where they lost fights continuously.
