The former UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva, put on a show for the fans during his boxing match against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Silva put on an exceptional performance and earned a split decision in his favor to win the contest. This was Silva’s first appearance inside the boxing ring in over 15 years and his third boxing bout.

He was asked when fans might see him back inside the squared ring again. “Well, now I go back to home. My son have a fight next soon. I go help my son,” said Silva. “I go back to help my team. Maybe I fight very soon,” he further added.

At 46-years-of age, Silva, a neophyte boxer, made a statement by taking on an opponent with loads of experience. Chavez has almost 60 pro-fights under his belt. Despite that, ‘Spider’ Silva made it look easy and his legend grew even bigger after this fight.
