Artur Beterbiev has made boxing fans across the world sit up and take note of him. The boxer has amassed 19 knockouts in his professional boxing career in as many bouts. His latest knockout was inflicted on Anthony Yarde. The hard-fought bout went to the 8th round where Beterbiev ended Yarde’s resistance. Fellow Dagestani and #3 welterweight fighter Khamzat Chimaev took to Instagram to congratulate Beterbiev after his victory over Yarde. Fans congratulated the boxer on his KO streak and credited the Dagestani origin for his performance.

While Chimaev congratulated Beterbiev, fans had some nice things to say about the champ, too. Chimaev‘s Instagram post was captioned, “The king of boxing today is @arturbeterbiev

Fans praise Beterbiev after Khamzat Chimaev congratulates him

Chimaev was not the only one impressed with Beterbiev. Young Entrepreneur Ali Askarov seemed to agree with Chimaev. He commented, “Facts”.

Another fan commented, “The Dagestani blood is strong in this one..”.

There were a few fans who thought differently, a fan commented, “Canelo > All Chech”. He seemed of the opinion that Canelo Alvarez was better than all Chechen boxers.

Fans also had a different opinion about Artur Beterbiev‘s probable next fight with Dmitry Bivol. One fan commented, “Big fan khamzat but dmitry bivol wins by unanimous decision”.

Fans looked really impressed with the performances of Chechen fighters across combat sports. A fan wrote.”Chechen GOATS! You own MMA Artur owns Boxing!!” .

Another ardent Beterbiev fan wrote, “19 knock outs this dude is bring back boxing  19:0 19 knockouts”

A lot of fans also compared him to Ivan Drago, from the Rocky series, given his Russian roots.

Beterbiev vs Bivol cooking?

After beating Anthony Yarde, Beterbiev will look to become the fully unified champion of the light heavyweight division. He has complained in the past about Bivol not actually trying to make the high-stakes fight a reality despite claiming that he wants to fight Beterbiev next. Dmitry Bivol is on a 21-0 record with 11 KOs. He is known for finding great angles and for his smart play.
